Jeffrey M. Royal, 45, of Fargo, died Thursday, October 24, 2013, at Sanford Health in Fargo.
Jeff was born on September 3rd, 1968, in Fargo, ND, to parents Ron and Lynette Royal. He graduated from Fargo South in 1986. He went on to graduate from Moorhead Tech with a degree in auto mechanics in 1989. He continued to further his education and training with several certifications. After spending 10 years as an auto technician at Goodyear, he went on to become the lead technician at Firestone.
Jeff married Kristine Slaughter on November 1, 2000, in Negril, Jamaica. As an enthusiastic football fan, Jeff and Kristine enjoyed watching the games together nearly every Sunday. His incredible devotion and great sense of humor got him through many years as a Vikings fan.
Jeff spent many summers playing softball and would often spend time after the games teaching his children all about the sport. He also loved to hunt and fish as well as spend time at the lake. Jeff’s friends and family will remember his for his fun loving personality and ability to make others laugh.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Kristine, of Fargo; daughters Brittany (Matt) Johnson and Brandi Gaskill of Fargo, ND; son, TJ (Nora) Gaskill-Barsness of Portland, OR; his grandchildren, Travis John and Dylan Jane; parents, Ron and Lynette Royal, Fargo; sister, Jenni (Brian) Maloney; niece Jade and nephew, Evan and his beloved dogs, Josie and Kylie
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, an aunt and two uncles.
