Jeanne P. Tennefos

On October 25th, two days short of her 85th birthday, Jeanne passed away peacefully after a courageous lifelong battle with diabetes. She was surrounded by her family and in the presence of the Lord.

Jeanne was born and grew up in Bismarck, North Dakota. After marrying Jens Tennefos, they made their home in Fargo. She enjoyed music, Bible studies, and especially loving on and serving her family. Her kindness, gentle spirit and smile warmed the hearts of everyone who met her. She truly exemplified the love of Jesus.

Jeanne is survived by her children, Dan (Joan) Tennefos, Fargo; David (Vicky) Tennefos, Rapid City, South Dakota; Judie VandeVoort, Fargo; Mary (Dave) Shoji, Honolulu, Hawaii, 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Grace Quamme, all of her siblings and her beloved husband Jens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Diabetic Association of Fargo, Oak Grove Lutheran School, Olivet Lutheran Church, and The New Life Center in Fargo.
