Jeanette Schossow, 90, died February 21, 2021 at her home in Fargo under the care of Griswold Home Care and Sanford Hospice.
Jeanette Marion Greuel was born on March 5, 1930 in Fargo, ND. She was the daughter of Paul and Lillian (Steinweg) Greuel of rural Durbin, ND. She spent her youth on farms in Durbin, ND and Chaffee, ND and attended high school in Casselton, ND. Jeanette was baptized, confirmed, and married at Goshen Moravian Church in Durbin, ND.
On March 22, 1952 she married William Schossow and they made their home in Fargo. She attended and taught Sunday School at Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she was a member for over 58 years and loved listening to their choir.
She treasured her years spent at Cotton Lake taking care of her family and her 3 grandchildren, spoiling them all with her baking and cooking.
Jeanette is survived by her sons, Steven (Carla Braaten) Schossow, Fargo, and Michael (Lesley) Schossow, Fargo. Three grandchildren, Sarah (Hernando) Caicedo, Miami, FL, Melissa (Bill) Fundling, Navarre, FL, and Matthew (Marney) Schossow, Menomonie Falls, WI. Five great grandchildren, Braeden and Samantha Fundling, Gavin, Connor, and Kinely Schossow. Her brother Lowell (El Vira) Greuel, Fargo, and several special nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Schossow, her parents Paul and Lillian (Steinweg) Greuel, her brother Harvey Greuel, sister Mabel Kolb and several nephews and nieces.
Jeanette was interred at Sunset Memorial Gardens on March 5, 2021. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 10 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 613 16th Street South in Fargo.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be directed to the Bethlehem Lutheran Choir or charity of your choice.
