Jeanette Cecelia Hermunslie

Jeanette Cecelia Hermunslie went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 92 years old on October 23, 2014. She was able to live in her home up until the day of her death.

She was born on July 3, 1922 in Minneapolis, MN, to Joseph and Nellie (Halvorson) Plank. She graduated from Miller Vocational School in Northeast Minneapolis and went on to work at the Federal Reserve Bank in Minneapolis. Jeanette married Arnold Hermunslie, the love of her life, on November 29, 1947. They were blessed with nearly 61 years before Arnold’s passing in 2008. They were blessed with three daughters.

Jeanette loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She lovingly served her husband and family throughout her life. Jeanette was a member of Pontoppidan Lutheran Church and served in many areas of ministry.

Jeanette is survived by her three daughters, Cheryl Lynn (Wayne) King, Plymouth, MN, Cynthia Marie (Theodore) Zierhut, Bloomington, MN, and Clarice Ione (David) Shusterich, Plymouth, MN; five grandchildren, Chad (Stephanie) King, Amy King, Kimberly (Rob) Mudge, Chuck (Lyndsey) Zierhut, Katie Zierhut and two great-grandchildren; Joy Mudge and Reuben King, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert, and husband Arnold.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Pontoppidan Lutheran Church – Mission Fund.
