Janet K. Mounts

Janet was born on June 26th, 1939 in Alta, Iowa, daughter of Harold and Evelyn Carpenter. She lived in Alta with her parents and brother Jim Carpenter until 1956 when she moved to rural Ottertail, Minnesota with her parents.

In 1958 Janet married Raymond (Ole) Mounts. They had two children, Melanie and Jim. In 1982 Janet and her son Jim, moved to Moorhead, MN and then Fargo, ND. During her time in Fargo she shared many happy years with Bob Rasmussen, a special friend from Ada, MN.
Janet spent her last couple years at Rosewood Nursing Home in Fargo, ND, where the staff cared for her with love and integrity. Janet loved spending time with family and friends, playing SkipBo and Bingo, and sharing conversation over a cup of coffee.

Janet passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 13th, 2013 at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, ND with her loving children by her side. She will be remembered for her strong hugs, laughter, and her unconditional love of family and friends.

Janet is preceded in death by her father Harold Carpenter, and her brother Jim Carpenter.
Janet is survived by her daughter, Melanie (Gary) Foss of Perham, MN; her son Jim (Loreley) Mounts of Fargo, ND; mother, Evelyn Carpenter of Kaysville, Utah; sister-in-law, Laura Carpenter of Syracuse, Utah; 6 granchildren and 10 great-granchildren.
