Jane Marie Simons Moore

Jane Marie (nee Simons) Moore
On October 31, 2018 Jane Moore passed away peacefully at age 71. Born on November 30, 1946 in Brookings, South Dakota, Jane spent her childhood in Windom MN, Fessenden ND and teenage years in Grand Forks ND. After graduating from Central High School, she attended UND for one year, then completed training at Josef's School of Hair Design as a hairdresser. After marrying Lawrence J. Moore Jr. in June of 1967, Jane lived in Everett WA, Austin TX, the Philippine Islands and O'Fallon IL before returning to Grand Forks to care for her mother.

Jane was a voracious reader, filling numerous notebooks with detailed facts and impressions of her readings. Equal passion was applied to these additional hobbies: illustration, design study, knitting, beading, crewel work, penmanship and painting with acrylics and oils.

Always a tender and solitary soul, Jane will be deeply missed by her family. She is survived by brother Joel (Pat) Simons of Fargo ND, sister, Julie Simons (Allan) Lucht of Germany, nieces, Becky Seeba, Amy Anderson, Kara Simons, Johanna Lucht, and nephews, Jon Lucht, Jordan Lucht and Joshua Lucht. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis I. Simons and Beatrice K. Simons, formerly of Grand Forks ND.
