James Paul Bessette, 55, of Moorhead, MN died unexpectedly, on Thursday October 7, 2021, at his home.
James, better known as "Jim", was born in Amherst, Ohio August 8, 1966, to George E. Bessette and Delia V. Reid. Jim mostly grew up and lived in the Grafton/Fargo, ND areas. Jim also lived many years in Amherst, Ohio. Jim was previously an X-Ray technician for over 20 years. He then became a Welder for Norwood Sales.
Jim was a jokester, a devoted, kind and sincere man; always willing to help out with his heart of gold. He adored spending time with his daughter Emma, family in Ohio, his best friend DeAnn, and enjoyed many friends from his school days and work. He always utilized his garage to create his "man cave" and liked watching his football (Raiders/Vikings) and baseball (Twins) games. Jim was into movies, especially those with Joe Pesci and Clint Eastwood. Jim had loved riding on his HD motorcycle and spent a lot of time antique shopping and going to car shows.
Jim is survived by his step-father, Nacho Reyes; daughter, Emma Bessette; brother, Anthony W. Bessette; sister, Tami R. Wilson; step-sister, Lupe Bessette; step-brothers, Alfred Reyes, Bill Reyes, and John Reyes, and many nieces and nephews as well as his life-long friend, DeAnn Brothers.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Delia V. Reyes; father, George Bessette; and grandparents, Norman and Cordy Reid.
Visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Thursday, October 21 at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, with a celebration of life at 8pm.
