Jack Phillip Weaver was born October 8, 1927, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to John Clarence Weaver and Katherine Elizabeth (Kilian) Weaver. He grew up in Winona, Minnesota, where he graduated from Winona High School. Jack served in the navy during World War II, then graduated from Creighton University of Omaha, Nebraska. Jack and Dorothy Mary Klages were united in marriage on January 29, 1949, at the Methodist Church in Rochester, Minnesota. Jack worked as a building materials salesman for Boise Cascade, living in Duluth, Minnesota, before moving to Fargo, North Dakota, in 1970. Jack was past president of the Fargo Roughrider Kiwanis, and was an active member of the FM Walleyes. He was a volunteer at MeritCare Hospital and at the National Park Service’s Hubbell Trading Post in Ganado, Arizona. He loved to fish, listen to Dixieland, jazz and Irish music, read books and spend time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of Fargo; son William (Jean) Weaver, Alexandria, Minnesota; daughter, Kay (Mani) Ehteshami, Redding, California; son, James Weaver, Miami Beach, Florida; and three grandchildren, Bryce Weaver, Portland, Oregon; Casey Pitts, New Haven, Connecticut; and Jillian Weaver, Waco, Texas. Jack Weaver died at home, Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at the age of 79. Blessed be the memory of this loving husband, father, and grandfather.
