Ione Marie Nettum Woodford

Ione M. Woodford, 93, passed away from cancer on January 17, 2018 at the Bethany Nursing Home on South University in Fargo.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Celebration.

Ione was born May 25, 1924 to Waldemar and Christine (Overboe) Nettum. She was raised and educated at Kindred, ND then went on to Concordia College, graduating in 1941. She went on to teach for many years at different schools. When she retired from teaching she opened a gift store in Minneapolis and was very active in the Camden community there.

Ione was a very kind and caring person. In 1956 she married Tony Green. After his passing, she would take her nieces and nephews on trips with her. She then met and married Edward Woodford and they bought a mobile home and traveled a lot. When he passed on, she wrote a book on their travel experiences.

She also loved gardening and had a beautiful yard at her home.

She is survived by her brother, Don and his wife Julaine, Fargo, ND and many nieces and nephews.
