Ione Rae Loeks

Ione Rae Loeks was born July 16, 1948 to George and Pauline (Neisess) Loeks in Breckenridge, Minnesota. She attended school in Campbell, MN and North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton.

Ione thoroughly enjoyed her work with Dakota Supply Group in Fargo as evidenced by her 41 years with the company. She was very involved with the Women In Construction Association. Ione was an active member of Elim Lutheran Church, Fargo. She loved spending time at the lakes and rummage sales.

Ione died Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at her home in West Fargo after a courageous battle with cancer.

She is survived by her soul mate, Curt Meyer, West Fargo, ND; her brother, Dave Loeks, Fergus Falls, MN, and her sister, Diane (Nick) Haupt, Linwood, MN; three nieces, Carmen Tossette, Lianne Loeks, Loran Coppin; and two nephews, Steven Loeks, and Trent Twitero.

A heartfelt thank you is extended to the doctors and nurses at Roger Maris Cancer Center, Hospice of the Red River Valley, and Ione’s friends at Dakota Supply Group.
