Ida Bader, 74, of Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at her home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley, from complications of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Ida Violet Franz was born December 8, 1932, to Otto and Christina (Krieger) Franz in rural Fredonia, North Dakota, where she grew up and attended country school. On May 22, 1955, she married Roger Bader in Aberdeen, South Dakota. They made their home in Fargo, ND. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren and she enjoyed spending time at the lake with her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clifford and Johnnie; sisters, Anna, Edna, Sally and Arlene. Ida is survived by her husband, Roger, Fargo, ND; children, Gwendolyn (Dave) Spong, Delano, MN; Scott Bader, Las Vegas, NV; Michelle (Kelvin) Salathe, Perham, MN; grandchildren, Samantha and Hunter Salathe; Perham, MN; a sister, Vivian (Norman) Ulmer, Wishek, ND; three brothers, Eddie Franz, San Jose, CA; Ray (Della) Franz, Tucson, AZ; and Al (Diane) Franz, Goodyear, AZ. Memorial Service: Tuesday, September 25, 2007, at 2:00 P.M., at First United Methodist Church, Fargo, ND.
