Hugh "Wally" Geraghty

Wally Geraghty (85) a resident of Fargo, ND was born on April 7, 1929 in Spokane Washington to Hugh and Pauline Geraghty. He moved to Fargo, ND from Spokane in 1941. He attended Fargo Central High School and after high school, enlisted in the U.S. Air force. He spent four years at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. These four years contributed to his interest in military aircraft, which continued to be a significant part of his life until his death on September 17th, 2014 in Eventide Nursing Home, Moorhead MN. Following his discharge from the military, he began working at Shotwell Floral in Fargo, ND. He worked for Shotwell’s for over 40 years.

Wally is survived by his son Kevin Geraghty, Fargo, ND; stepdaughter Adele (Jeff) Lloyd, Janesville, WI; two sisters, Joanne Wonderlich, Fargo, ND; Linda Thompson, Hewitt TX; and a granddaughter, Julia Camille Mendoza Geraghty, Kalispell MT. He leaves behind numerous nephews and nieces, and was a great-uncle and great, great-uncle to their children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather.
