Hosea Bennett, Jr., 75, died Friday, July 18th, at his Fargo home.
Hosea was born September 4, 1938, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Hosea Bennett and Annie Grace Williams.
On October 31st, 1956, Hosea enlisted in the United States Air Force. In the military he traveled all over the world. While stationed at Clark Air Force Base, Philippines, he met his wife, Florencia (Beth). In 1976, he was stationed at Grand Forks Air Force Base. After serving his country for twenty-two years, he retired August 31st, 1978. He began working for the BNSF railroad where he worked as a crew caller, until he took early retirement in 1998.
Hosea is survived by his wife Beth and his children, Carmen Elbaum, Christina Bennett, and Hosea Bennett, III; seven grandchildren (Jeneia, Ariel, Selena, Cole, Madisyn, Taryn, and Hosea IV), one great-grandson (Ta’raaj); eight brothers and sisters; and many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
Hosea was loved by many. He never refused to lend a helping hand to those in need.
