Henry Deutsch

Henry W. Deutsch, 79, of Fargo, ND, died Sunday, June 13, 2010, at MeritCare Hospital. Henry “Hank” William Deutsch was born June 13, 1931, at Morris, Minnesota, son of William and Katherine (Selk) Deutsch. He attended school in Deer River, Minnesota. Hank served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was discharged in 1953, where he was awarded four Bronze Stars. Hank married Zorey Petrich December 29, 1966, in Sisseton, South Dakota. They lived in Fargo while Hank worked for Ames Sand and Gravel. He retired in 2006. Hank enjoyed spending time at his cabin on Trowbridge Lake with friends and family. Henry is survived by his wife, Zorey, Fargo, ND; daughter, Deborah Deutsch, Bovey, MN; step-children, Joanne (Richard) Hannestad Hanson, Moorhead, MN; Michael (Brenda) Petrich, Bovey, MN: siblings, Robert (Sheila) Deutsch, Cohasset, MN; Ronald Deutsch, Grand Rapids, MN: Patricia (Ruben) Mattfield, Hoyt Lakes, MN; grandchildren, Pamela (Marvin) Knapper; Michael (Rachel) Petrich; Brent (Lisa) Hannestad; Steve Petrich; Leeha (Gary) Gustason; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, John and Jim; sisters, Betty Savage and Diana Deutsch.
