Henriette Nelson

Henriette Bakko Nelson was born to Helmer and Burnette (Brunsvold) Bakko on May 16, 1916 near Walcott, ND where she grew up and attended school. She moved to Fargo, ND where she met and married N. Henry Nelson of Wolford, ND.

Henriette was a member of Peace Lutheran Church since 1945. She made quilts through the church for 40+ years that were distributed to needy people throughout the world. Henriette volunteered at the Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch store for many years. She loved to climb hills and spend time in the beauty of Arizona.

Henriette is survived by three sons: Larry (Roni), Apple Valley, MN; Ronald (Margaret), Cedar Rapids, IA; and David (Joy), Phoenix, AZ; three grandsons, Derek (Suzanne), Lexington, SC; Jeffrey (Alisa), St. Paul, MN; and Greg, Brooklyn, NY; two great-grandsons, Grant and Graham; two great-granddaughters, Morgan and Laurel; and two sisters, Cordy Farsdale, Walcott, ND, and Bernice Nipstad, CA.
