Henrietta Fiechtner, 83, of Fargo, ND, passed away on November 9, 2022, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, with her family at her side after a sudden illness.
Henrietta Gall was born on January 13, 1939, in Wishek, ND, to Henry and Hertha (Ketterling) Gall. She grew up there and graduated from Wishek High School in 1956. She furthered her education at Ellendale College, receiving a teaching certificate.
On May 12, 1957, Henrietta was united in marriage to Clarence Fiechtner. They resided in Wishek, where she taught farm school for two years. They later moved their family to Fargo in 1961.
Henrietta attended Plymouth Congregational Church in Fargo. With her musical talents, she participated in choir and hand bells along with playing hymns on the piano at home. She belonged to several church committees and ladies’ groups. Along with her musical talents, she enjoyed sewing personally and professionally. She had a love for ceramics and effectuated her craft for 60 years, consistently showering her family and friends with beautiful pieces she created. Furthermore, winning a variety of ribbons at the fair.
Clarence and Henrietta loved square dancing and league bowling. She also donated her time and knowledge to the Germans from Russia Heritage Collection through North Dakota State University. She was passionate about community and closeness.
To her, family was the most important thing. She was a wonderful listener and pillar of the household. Henrietta was her children and grandchildren’s biggest fan! She traveled far and wide to see them participate in various athletic events and musical events.
Henrietta will forever be missed by her husband of 65 years, Clarence Fiechtner; sons, Jeff (Vicki) Fiechtner, Joel (Barb) Fiechtner, and James (Tamme) Fiechtner, all of Fargo; grandchildren, Heidi Fiechtner, of Yellowstone, WY, Joshua (Joanna) Fiechtner, of Tucson, AZ, Matt Fiechtner, of Fargo, Vanessa (Jared) Duran, of Denver, CO, Jeff (JD) McDougall, of Houston, TX, Todd (Kendra) Fiechtner, of Fargo, Parker Fiechtner, of Fargo, and Kennede Fiechtner, of Fargo; great-grandchildren, Teo Duran, Naimah McDougall, Jeriah McDougall, Carter Fiechtner, Ashlynn Fiechtner, and Sophia Fiechtner; sisters, Donna (Harvey) Miller, of Fargo, Marlys (Tom) Kienzle, of Bismarck, ND, JoAnn (Doug) Lange, of Bell Fourche, SD, and Ann (Gregg) Parks, of Dallas, TX; and several loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Hertha Gall and her brother, James Gall.
