Helene Wolseth

Helene Wolseth, age 93 of 1418 9th St. N. Fargo, ND, passed away at Rosewood on Broadway in Fargo on March 20, 2009. Dagmar “Dolly” Helene Strand, the daughter of Hans and Konradina (Nielsen) Strand was born on July 9, 1915 in Balfour, ND, where she grew up and graduated from Balfour High School. Helene was united in marriage with Leif Conrad Wolseth in Hillsboro, ND on July 22, 1938. Helene enjoyed traveling, flower gardening and volunteering at MeritCare hospital in Fargo, ND. Grateful for having shared her life are children, Dr. Norman (June) Wolseth of Hot Springs Village, AR; Madeline (Kenneth) Birst-deceased, Bismarck, ND, Joanne Wolseth, Madison, WI, Dr. Donna (Richard) Horne, Paradise Valley, AZ, Karen (Thomas) Metzger, Sioux Falls, SD and Diane (Michael) Bayuk, Helena, MN; sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Helene was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, Margaret Varner and Astrid Stenso; daughter, Madeline Birst and granddaughters, HoLly Orchard (Wolseth) and Marjorie Rose Metzger. Funeral: Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 10:00 AM at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Wednesday, March 25, 2009 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND and one hour prior to services at the church. Prayer Service: Wednesday, 7:00 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
