Helen “Kay” Froslie, 77, Fargo, ND, passed away at Sanford Hospital under Palliative Care November 23rd, 2013.
Helen Kay (Wingerd) Froslie was born February 22, 1936 in Winner, SD to Roy and Helen Wingerd.
Kay married Lyle Delano Froslie in Sisseton, SD on November 6, 1964. They lived in Fargo where they raised their family. Kay started working as a clerk at the child care center at St Luke’s Hospital (now Sanford Child Development Center) where she recently celebrated 30 years on June 13, 2013 and worked up until she fell ill on November 9th, 2013. Kay dedicated her spare time working with all the schools and activities her children were active in. Of recent she spent it trying to “keep up” with her family and grand kids. Many remember Kay for her passion for the news (political, sports and health), and for her deep love of the Green Bay Packers.
Kay is survived by her sons Joe (Melanie) of Fargo, ND, Greg of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Kelly (Nancy) of Fargo, ND, Mike of Fargo, ND and her brothers Russell Wingerd of Palmer, AK, and James Wingerd of Anchorage, AK and nine grandchildren.
Kay is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyle D. Froslie, her daughter Ellen A. Licari (Geno) and sister Fern Brickman.
