Hazelle Jeanette Smith, 95, of Fargo, ND, died Thursday March 10, 2016, in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.
Hazelle was born December 24, 1920, in Cooperstown, ND, to Henry and Antoinette Larson. She was raised on the family farm along with her six siblings. She married Robert C. Smith and together they raised four children. She worked many years as a store manager and buyer for Mrs. Blow's Sewing Center. Her main profession was that of wife, mother and grandmother. Hazelle was very active in her church, Peace Lutheran. She was one of the founders and president of the Altar Guild and the church Wedding Coordinator. She resided at Edgewood Vista in Fargo where she thrived on all the activities they provided. Hazelle will be remembered for her style, smile, and the strength that made her such a survivor. To know her was to love her.
Hazelle is survived by her four children: Paulette (Jim) Satter, Penny Bergeson, Pamela Overvold, Terry (Nancy) Smith. Grandchildren: Tony (Jenny) Satter, Brock (Sirad) Satter, Brigette (Josh) Brosz, Damian (Jill) Smith, Brady (Carla) Bergeson, Bronwyn Bergeson, Emilie (Paul) Ihland, Judd (Erin) Holt, Gretchen (Tony) Aleto, Sister: Arla (Merland) Carlson and eighteen great-grandchildren. Nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, parents, siblings Howard, Lester, Maynard, Doris and Evelyn. Grandsons, Bricker J. Satter and Bricker C. Bergeson, and son-in-law, Cliff Overvold.
