Hazel Nyborg

February 8, 1920 — June 13, 2008

Hazel Ann Nyborg, 88, of Moorhead, MN, went to her eternal home on June 13, 2008, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Hazel Ann Borgie was born to Paul and Tilde (Hestikind) Borgie. She moved with her family to Fargo, ND, when young and attended Fargo schools and graduated from Oak Grove High School in 1938. After high school, she attended Moorhead State Teachers College during which time she worked at the Pharmacy Department at NDSU and later, Kresges and Grant’s department store in downtown Fargo. She met the love of her life, Lloyd K. Nyborg, and was married in St. Hilaire, Minnesota, on May 12, 1946. Hazel was an active housewife, loving mother, grandmother and friend with a very deep faith. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren and took great joy at being a great-grandmother, six times over. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Lloyd, Moorhead, MN; three children, Candice (Neil) Graf, Fargo, ND; Jon (Laureen) Nyborg, Fargo, ND; and Mark (Cheryl) Nyborg, Moorhead, MN; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren with one more due in January that she was just told about before her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, one half-brother and a sister. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her but we know she is “at home with the Lord.” Funeral Service: Friday, June 20, 2008, at 11:00 AM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Thursday, June 19, 2008, from 6-7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold. Prayer Service: Thursday, June 19, 2008, at 7:00 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
