Harvey O. Flesberg

Harvey Owen Flesberg was born March 24, 1935 in Fargo, ND to Lars and Jennie (Strandvold) Flesberg of Argusville, ND. Harvey grew up on the family farm and attended grade school in rural Argusville. He graduated from Oak Grove High School in 1952 and from NDAC in Fargo in 1957. He was in the Army from 1958-1960 at Ft Sill, OK.

Harvey married Donna Makedonsky on 7-18-59 at Pontoppidan Lutheran Church in Fargo. He farmed all of his life and, over the years, worked at Smith’s City Service, Sahr’s Sudden Service and American Crystal Beet Plants.

Harvey died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Sanford Health in Fargo.

He is survived by his wife, Donna, of Fargo; son, Gordon (fiancé Ann Terry), Fargo; daughter, Melanie of Bath, MI; brother, Everett (Phyllis), Fargo; sister, Elsie of Nevada, MO. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lars and Jennie; brother-in-law, John Knuteson; and niece, Joan Knuteson.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, May 2, 2014 at Maple Sheyenne Lutheran Church, Harwood, ND. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Thursday, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo. Burial will be in Osterdalen Cemetery, rural Argusville, ND.
