Harris Swenson

Harris “Jim” Swenson, 77, of Moorhead, MN, died November 3, 2008, at his home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Jim was born in Grand Forks, ND, on September 10, 1931, to Joseph and Inga (Gilbertson) Swenson. He attended schools in Grand Forks and after high school he went on to college at North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton. He joined the Army in March 1952. He married Olga Marcella Aure on November 1, 1958. Jim enjoyed holding and going to many rummage sales. Jim is survived by wife, Olga “Marcy”, Moorhead, MN; two sons, Paul (Stacey) Swenson, Reile’s Acres, ND; Steven (Michelle) Swenson; two daughters, Yvonne Miller, Grand Forks, ND; and Lanette Swenson, Fargo, ND; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Funeral Service: Friday, November 7, 2008, at 11:00 AM, at First Assembly of God, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Thursday, November 6, 2008, from 5-7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Prayer Service: Thursday, November 6, 2008, at 7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
