Harriet Kuehl

Harriet A. Kuehl, 74, of Fargo, ND, died Thursday, May 20, 2010, at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo. Harriet Arline Thompson was born April 13, 1936, in Fargo, North Dakota, daughter of Peander and Ida (Tollefson) Thompson. She graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1955. Harriet worked at Woolworth’s in Fargo before marrying Gerald Kuehl on May 5, 1961, in Fargo, ND. They had three daughters and Harriet spent her time raising them while also working at Mathisons. She was working at Diercks Printing in Moorhead, when she retired in 1995. She devoted a lot of her time caring for daughter and best friend, Debbie. Harriet loved puzzle books, knitting, embroidery, baking and gardening. She is survived by her husband, Gerald, Fargo, ND; a daughter, Deborah Kuehl, Fargo, ND; and a sister, Phyllis (Glen) Wilson, Fargo, ND. Harriet was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Kimberly Kuehl, who died in 2003; and Diane McGlynn, who died in 2006; a brother, Norman Thompson. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
