Harriet Marie Flanders, 95, of Fargo passed away peacefully February 15 at Bethany on University.
She was born in Blackduck, Minnesota to Halvor and Otila Eng, the fifth of eight children. She graduated from Blackduck High School.
She married Robert (Bob) Flanders on November 10, 1940. She and Bob moved to North Dakota in 1946. Bob passed away in 2000.
Harriet was employed at Northern Drug/McKesson for 32 years, retiring in 1983.
She is survived by son, Robert Jr. of Fargo and daughter, Ruth Alstad of Indianapolis, IN; five grandchildren, Dean and Angela of Fargo and Eric, Amy and Beth of Indianapolis, IN; five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Reinarz of Blackduck, MN, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by infant daughter, Mary Colleen, daughter-in-law, Gloria Flanders and son-in-law, Armond Alstad.
Harriet loved to spend time with family and friends. She was an avid reader and had a soft spot for animals.
A graveside service for Harriet will be held in the spring.
