Harold R. Schulz, age 84, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, in SMP Health - St. Catherine North.
Harold Robert Schulz was born on December 17, 1938, to William and Lydia Schulz in Erie, ND. He grew up there on a farm and attended school in Erie and Heil, ND. Harold served in the United States Army from February 1961 to December 1963.
On May 13, 1962, Harold was united in marriage to the love of his life, Emy Saur, in Valley City, ND. They lived in Ludwigsburg, Germany, during their first year of marriage, where Harold was stationed with the Army. Together, they were blessed with two children, Chad and Stacey. They moved to Fargo in 1964, where Harold attended Interstate Business College.
Harold worked as a heavy equipment operator and supervisor for the City of Fargo Public Works Department from November 1965 until his retirement in December 2000.
He enjoyed watching football, basketball, baseball, and golf. He had a passion for the game of golf, as well as bowling. Even though the golf game wasn't always the greatest (a lot of "ifs"), he and his buddies always had a great time. Their philosophy was: "Golf is good exercise, something to do, and once in a while, you get a good game of golf." Harold had a big heart and was a wonderful husband and father. He was very proud of his family and enjoyed time spent with them.
