Harold Eugene Kjelvik, 76, passed away peacefully February 27, 2014 at Bethany on 42nd in Fargo with his family by his side.
Harold was born February 20, 1938 in Hendrum, MN to Lorentz Kjelvik and Olga Crump. He met the love of his life, RoJean Rehder at Moorhead High School. They were married May 22, 1959 in Webster, South Dakota and lived life hand in hand through 54 years of marriage. Their marriage served as an example of deep love, respect and partnership to their family and all who knew them.
He enlisted in the Air National Guard in 1955 and served as a Happy Hooligan for 38 years. He retired in 1993 as a Chief Master Sergeant. During his service he worked on several fighter aircraft: F-94 A/B, F-94C, F-89D, F-89J, F-102, F-101, F-4, F-16 and support aircraft: T-33, T-29, C-47, C-45, C-54, C-131, C-130.
Harold loved fishing, country music and telling jokes, but most of all his 10+ winters in Arizona and golfing.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Lief and Norman Kjelvik and Sonja Larson; and his sons, Donald and Daniel Kjelvik. He is survived by his wife, RoJean Kjelvik; siblings, Hjordis (Francis) Martell and Julie (Walter) Schmidt; his children, Marshall (Jennifer), Sandy and Katy (Steph) Kjelvik; grandchildren, Melissa (Eric) Cameron, Jessica, Torre (Stacee) and Hannah Kjelvik and Breanna Jaworski; great-grandchilden, Thor Cameron, Atly, Asher and Rylynn Kjelvik and many dear relatives and friends.

Funeral: Tuesday, March 4, 2014, 11:00 AM at Lutheran Church of the Cross – 1402 16th St. East, West Fargo, ND, with a reception to follow.
Visitation: Monday, March 3, 2014 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home – 215 S. 7th St, Fargo, ND.
Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery – South, Fargo, ND.
