Harold Janisch, 92, Veblen, South Dakota, died Monday, February 16, 2009, at Bethany Homes in Fargo, North Dakota, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Harold, the son of Mike and Louisa (Tscherne) Janisch was born in Lake City, South Dakota, on October 2, 1916. He attended Lake City Elementary School. He helped on the family farm through his adult years. On June 30, 1941, he married Helen Ormand and moved to a farm west of Hillhead, South Dakota, where they lived until October 1987, when he retired. They then moved to Veblen until January 2003, when they moved to Bethany Homes in Fargo, North Dakota. His wife, Helen, passed away June 10, 2005, at Bethany in Fargo. Harold is survived by his two sons, William (Renay) Janisch, Pine, AZ; Tom (Kay) Janisch, Glendale, AZ; daughter, Diane Myhre, Winter Haven, FL; two sisters, Verna (Pete) Kiefer, Cayuga, ND: Priscilla Isensee, Fargo, ND; four grandchildren, Andrea Bolgrean, Kristin Bernier, Shaun Myhre and Chrystal Riley; one great-grandchild, Logan Bolgrean. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Arnold (Elvira) Janisch; Richard (Delores) Janisch; Edwin (Lois) Janisch; and Leo (Dorothy) Janisch. Funeral Mass: Thursday, February 19, 2009, at 1:00 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake City, South Dakota. Visitation: 11:30am-1:00pm at the church. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Lake City, South Dakota
