Greg Frazier was recently found in his apartment by authorities. The cause of his death is yet to be determined. He was born in Fargo, ND on September 1, 1951, the son of Claude Lester Frazier and Marion Schultz Frazier. Both his parents preceded him in death. He is survived by brothers, Richard “Rick” Frazier and Gerald (Marilyn) Frazier. He is also survived by the following nephews and nieces and their children: Jackson Frazier, Vicky (Dale) Nordman, Peggy Frazier, Kevin (Karen) Frazier, Kim (Kent) Brown and Michael (Andrea) Frazier.
Greg graduated from Moorhead High School in 1969. He later attended Moorhead State College as well as Wahpeton Technical College. Greg spent the majority of his professional career in the Minneapolis area where he worked as a commercial construction inspector. He also worked for Legacy Resources (Bismarck, ND) as a Landman for three years and for Kadrmas, Lee and Jackson (Fargo/Moorhead) for the past five plus years as a Right-of-Way Agent.
Greg was the friendliest person one could ever hope to meet. He considered it a privilege to make new friends and a pleasure to be with old friends. He loved people and always took time to share a story and a laugh with anyone, even complete strangers. He was never too busy to lend a hand or help someone in need. Greg was always the last one out the door or in the boat because he was visiting with someone.
Greg was an avid fisherman. He spent nearly every summer weekend (rain or shine) at Pikedale Lodge on Leech Lake in pursuit of what he called the “Wiley Walleye”. Fishing was his passion. For Greg, it was never about catching fish. It was all about his love of fishing and his deep appreciation of nature’s wonders. It mattered little to him if he came into the marina with a daily bag limit or an empty live well. He would always say “That’s why they call it fishing instead of catching fish.”
Our lives were enriched by you but they will forever be somewhat empty without you. We will always miss you and love you. Vaya con dios mi hermano.
A memorial celebration of Greg’s life and gathering of friends will be held at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home (Fargo, ND). All are invited to come and share in the celebration.
