Gregg Hjelle

Gregg Hjelle, 36, of Fargo, ND, died May 15, 2013 at his home.

Gregg was born June 26 1976 in Grand Forks, ND to Carter and Cathy (Cook) Hjelle. He grew up in Stephen and Mahnomen, MN, where he attended elementary and high school. After high school, he went onto chef school and received an Associate’s Degree in accounting.

He enjoyed nature, hunting, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, camping, cooking and animals, especially his two cats. He loved helping others and was mechanically gifted. Gregg’s kindness touched many people’s lives.

Gregg is survived by his mom; Cathy Hjelle, Fargo, ND; dad; Carter (Kathy), Bemidji, MN; brothers, Trevor Cook, South Korea and Thomas Hjelle, Fargo, ND; sister, Megan Hjelle, Fargo, ND; and maternal grandmother, Lois Cook, Moorhead, MN.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Kirk and infant brother, Ryan; grandparents, Clarice, Carl and Vince.
