Grant Daniel Heim

Grant Daniel Heim passed away November 24, 2017 at Sanford Palliative Care.

Grant was born May 11, 1997 in Fargo, N.D. to Dan and Nancy.

Grant was diagnosed with cancer in 2011. He formed many great friendships and bonds with professionals at Roger Maris Cancer Center. His personality and resilient optimism made him special to those who had the privilege of caring for him.

In 2014 Grant was granted a Make-A-Wish trip. Because of his love for wakeboarding he had the opportunity to meet professional wakeboarder, Dean Smith. This opportunity turned into a strong friendship until Grant’s passing.

Grant graduated from Fargo North High School in 2015. He was an amazing friend and teammate. He participated in band, baseball and bowling. Wakeboarding and snowboarding were two of his passions.

Grant attended the University of ND, Grand Forks, ND majoring in Occupational Therapy. He loved school and attended until his health no longer allowed.

Grant is survived by his parents Dan Heim and Nancy Sander (Mark) of Fargo, ND, his Standard Poodles Jackson and Millie, and many loving family, godparents and friends.
