Gloria Lemke

Gloria Lemke, 59, of Fargo, ND, died Monday, August 4, 2008, at Triumph Hospital, Fargo, ND. Gloria Jean Arneson was born October 21, 1948, to Robert Oscar and Clara Alvina (Hammerstad) Arneson in Fargo, ND, where she grew up and graduated, in 1966, from Fargo North High. Gloria married Eugene (Skip) Arnberg in 1967. In 1974, she was remarried to Lawrence Lemke. She worked with photo finishing, Fargo public schools, and Cass County social services. These were just a few of her many talents. Also, she was a foster parent for many years. Throughout the years, her health began to decline so she had no choice but to go on social security/disability as she could no longer work. She did not let this get her down as all who knew her knows, she lived life to the fullest. She loved to collect collectibles and antiques, be on her computer, and of course her favorite police shows were at the top of the list as well. Gloria’s most precious moments were those spent with her family and friends. In May of 2008, she had undergone her third open heart surgery to replace her mitro valve, which had been replaced twice before as it had worn out. She went into surgery on May 7th, 2008, and suffered many complications. She was so courageous and brave as she made it almost three months in the hospital fighting to live to return home to her loved ones. It was a long battle and she fought until the very end never giving up hope. Gloria was taken from us all too soon on August 4th, 2008. To a beloved friend, sister, and mother no words can describe how deeply she will be missed and will forever be in our hearts. She is survived by one son, Trevor Arnberg, Fargo ND; two daughters, Lisa Burgard, and Jill Lemke, both of Moorhead, MN; one brother, Delano (Jan) Arneson, Cotton Lake, MN; three sisters, Dorothy (Ray) Mckean, Warren OR;Virginia (Al) Wittkopp; Fargo; ND; and Belva (Ralph) Grindberg, Cotton Lake, MN; her grandchildren, Vincent, Patricia, Taylor, Kasey Clara, Trevor Jr, and Leaha. Another person that was very dear to her was her life partner, Allan Eidem, Brookings, SD, and her precious Pomeranian "Alvis". She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Arneson; her mother; Clara Arneson-Wilson and stepfather; Howard (Bill) Wilson.
