Glenn Madson, of Naples, FL, died in his home on March 16, 2018 at the age of 92 ½.
Glenn joined the Merchant Marines at age 17. His first trip was to Murmansk, Russia, then the Philippines and Hawaii, upon his discharge in June of 1945.
Glenn married his teenage bride, Hazel Lileks, on November 4, 1945. They had two daughters, Gail and Carol.
He spent his entire career at the Union Stockyards, where he served a term as president and owned his own company, Dakota Livestock Commission Co.
Glenn was an avid golfer and played until three months before his death. He was on the 2017 winning team for his community, Naples Land Yacht Harbor.
He was preceded in death by Hazel in 2000. He is survived by his two daughters, Gail (Henry) Walkin, Horace, ND, Carol (Jerry) Martinez, Ft. Myers, FL; three grandsons and 14 great-grandchildren.
