Glenn J. Eidem

Glenn (Bob) J. Eidem, age 96, died October 31, 2013 at Bethany in Fargo. Bob was a devoted husband, father, uncle, brother-in-law and friend to many. He was born on March 5, 1917 in
Northwood, ND to Oscar and Mabel (Sime) Eidem. He moved to Edmore, ND as a child and participated in the city band as a clarinet player. He also worked for his parents business in Edmore while growing up. He graduated from Edmore High School. Bob met the love of his life,

Bernice Ivesdal, in Edmore and they were married for 71 years.

Bob worked as a machinist for North American Rockwell/Boeing in Culver City, California until he retired. His penchant for precision work continued into retirement with woodworking and various craft projects that were shared with Bernice, his beloved daughter, Jeanne, and nieces and nephews. Bob was active in their church community as an usher and a member of the bell choir. They enjoyed years of square dancing activities and conventions with friends.

In 1989, Bob and Bernice moved from Culver City to Camarillo, CA.

In 2008, they moved to Fargo and have been living at Bethany Homes since 2011.
Bob is survived by his dear wife, Bernice; sister Margaret Packmore of Davenport, WA; son-in-law Billy Starnes of Foresville, TX; sisters-in-law Jean Ivesdal of Devils Lake, ND and Joyce Larsen of Fargo. Many nieces and nephews will also miss Bob’s positive attitude and loving care.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Jeanne Starnes, and sister Lorraine Morrison.
