Glenda Bentley, 78, of Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Essentia Health, Fargo, surrounded by her family. Glenda Sprayberry was born April 16, 1933, in Summerville, Georgia, daughter of Willis and Dorothy (Westbrook) Sprayberry. She grew up and attended school in Trion, Georgia. She loved singing and being a part of a gospel quartet that brought music to many people through her church and touring the South. She later moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she met and married Arve Bentley April 30, 1959. They moved to Fargo in 1961. After 49 years of marriage, Arve died in 2008. They shared many laughs and full hearts with the love of their many grandchildren. Glenda worked for 40 years as a CNA in local hospitals and nursing homes caring for others, always putting their needs before her own. An extra special person in her life was KayLee Gunderson, her grandson, Daniel’s wife. KayLee was her primary care giver toward the end of her life, and one of her closest friends. Now she walks with the angels she loved her whole life. Glenda is survived by her son, Steven (Jessica) Bentley, Matthews, NC; and a daughter, Sue (Jeff) Bentley, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Madison, Molly, Cameron, Amanda (Rob), James and Daniel; great-grandchildren, Alex, Kristina, Andrew, Matthew, Alexis, Jaiden, Sadye, Mya; her brother, Rayford Sprayberry, and sister, Sharon Campbell, both of Trion, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arve; and brother, Jerry. Funeral Service: Saturday, June 25, 2011, at 1:00 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at Hanson-Runsvold. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
