Gladys Brewer, 87, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Eventide Fargo.
Gladys Arlene Hanson Brewer was born April 4, 1932 at her parents farm, Leon E. Hanson and Geneva Dahl Hanson, in Ransom County Engelvale, North Dakota. Gladys graduated from high school in 1950 from Lisbon, North Dakota High School. She married Clarence “Ed” Brewer June 11, 1950. Gladys was mostly a stay-at-home “mom”. She worked part-time at CBI in Fargo.
Gladys was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir, was a long time Sunday School teacher and president of Bethlehem Church Women. Gladys was a member of Sons of Norway Kringen KOR.
Gladys is survived by daughters Rev. Marsha (Michael) Burt, Fargo, ND, Cheryl (Kevin) Kemppanion, Rockledge, FL, three granddaughters Charlene (Jason) Ramler, Kathleen (Brent) Speckhardt, Kimberly Kemppanion, Three great-grandchildren Caelan Ramler, Katija and Anja Speckhardt.
She was preceeded in death by her husband Clarence “Ed”, daughter Sheila Perry, sons Marshall, Keith, Michael, grandson Kevin Kemppanion, Jr., parents Leon and Geneva Hanson, two brothers Allen and Gordon Hanson and two sisters Mary Ann and Bonnie June Hanson.
A Memorial Service will be at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND at a later time.
