Gerald Roger Smith

Gerald (Jerry) Roger Smith, 82, resident at Eventide in Fargo, ND passed away peacefully on Saturday April 25th, 2020. He was born January 22, 1938 to Lance and Florence Smith, and grew up in Langdon, ND. Jerry enlisted in the US Army in 1956 and was stationed in Germany. He attended North Dakota State University.

Jerry married the love of his life, Marjorie Frison on September 1, 1962. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage and together had 3 beautiful children.
Jerry was forever a “Go Getter” and everyone that knew him knew that he rarely sat still. He really found his love for selling lake property on Pelican Lake and could usually be found at the end of the gas dock, working on his next deal. If you thought of Pelican Lake, you thought of Jerry. He also enjoyed many winters on Marco Island, FL and continued his love of selling real estate on the Gulf of Mexico.

Jerry loved his family dearly and took great pride in his grandchildren. He could flow into any situation without judgement or letting it get to him. He always offered encouraging words with a smile.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Lance and Florence Smith, Langdon, ND.

He is survived by his wife Marjorie (Marge) Smith, Eventide, Fargo; his brother Don (Luella) Smith, Great Falls, MT; children Cindy (Gary) Abbott, Austin, TX, Mike (Julie) Smith, Marco Island, FL, and Brian (Candi) Smith, West Fargo, along with 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
