Gerald Arthur "Jerry" Severson

Gerald Arthur “Jerry” Severson was born February 9, 1945 to Emil and Gladys (Thompson) Severson in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He grew up in Reynolds and graduated from Reynolds High School. After serving in the United States Army, Jerry returned to Reynolds where he was a member of the Reynolds Fire and Rescue and the American Legion. Jerry moved to Wahpeton and worked for Tom Moline for many years. Jerry had many good friends in Wahpeton. He helped one of those friends, Lonnie Halvorson, rebuild the carousel at the Chahinkapa Zoo.

Jerry died in Golden Living Center in Moorhead, MN on March 6, 2015.

He is survived by his sisters, Diane Weekley, The Villages, FL; Judy (Pat) Durkin, CA; brother, Dale (Debra) Severson, West Fargo, ND.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Eleanor Vonesh.
