Georgene Louise Jaquith Stone was born October 29, 1953, to her parents, George and Eleanor Jaquith, in Rochester, MN.

After completing high school, she attended Rochester Community College for two years before moving to Moorhead, MN, to complete her college at Moorhead State University.

She married Michael Stone on September 25, 1976. Her daughter Erica was born on December 11, 1980, and her son Matthew on December 1, 1982. Before long, she attended St. Luke's School of Nursing. She spent her nursing career at St. Luke's MeritCare, Sanford, and Prairie St. John's.

After leaving nursing, she worked at Scheel's All Sport for several years, finally working as a cashier at Hornbacher's Northport two days per week. She found much joy in staying active in the church, volunteering with the food pantry, and helping others in any way she could. Her greatest joy, though, was her grandchildren, Benjamin, Natalie, and Jacob.

At the end of July 2023, she was diagnosed with pneumonia and Covid. She spent all of August in Sanford and Sanford ICU. After a long struggle to overcome her illness, she passed away on September 4, 2023.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; children, Erica (Dale) Anderson and Matthew (Danielle) Stone; grandchildren, Benjamin and Natalie Anderson, Jacob Stone; brothers, Charles (Penny) Jaquith, Samuel Jaquith, and Daniel Jaquith; sisters and brothers-in-law; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
