George Lilleberg, Obituary George Lilleberg, 96, of Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, December 25, 2007, at the Evergreens in Fargo. George Miles Lilleberg was born November 24, 1911, in Cummings, North Dakota, son of Arthur and Ida (Waslien) Lilleberg. He grew up in Cummings and graduated from Hillsboro High School. George attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. George married Vivian Howard in Hillsboro, North Dakota, August 22, 1934. Vivian died in 1993. He began working for Nash Finch in 1932. He worked in Devils Lake, Grand Forks, Jamestown and Fargo, North Dakota and Bemidji, Minnesota before retiring in 1977. He was a member of the United Lutheran Church in Grand Forks from 1950 to 1961, and First Lutheran Church in Fargo, since 1961. He was an active volunteer at First Lutheran and sang in the choir. He also belonged to Kiwanis and Golden K and the Sons of Norway. He was an avid walker and enjoyed golf in his retirement. He loved working in his yard and having conversation with family and friends. George is survived by his children, Barbara (Tony) Dupont, Kalispell, MT; and Dennis (Julie) Lilleberg, Peoria, AZ; five grandchildren, Donald, Douglas, Danielle, Rebecca and Deanna; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vivian; and a brother, Amos. Funeral Service: Monday, December 31, 2007, at 10:00 AM, at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Sunday, December 30, 2007, from 5-7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND and one hour prior to the service at the church. Prayer Service: Sunday, at 7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold.
