George Hollister Hull died on June 27, 2010, at his home. He was born in Fargo, ND, on September 2, 1918, to Margaret (Hollister) and Thomas B. Hull. He attended elementary school in Fargo and graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1937. After graduating in 1938, he attended an insurance school in New York City. George worked for Hull and Company, an Insurance General Agency in Fargo with his father, Thomas B., and his brother, Frank. The Agency was sold in 1962 and George then worked with several insurance companies as State Representative until retiring in 1983. George married his lifelong love of 59 years, LaVerne Smith, on April 12, 1941. George and LaVerne enjoyed traveling and spending time with their children and grandchildren. LaVerne passed away July 2, 2000. George was active at First Congregational Church and was a lifelong member. He was a past member of the Fargo Jaycees, Fargo Kiwanis Club, Fargo Cosmopolitan Club among others. George was an avid bass fisherman and loved to go fishing with his son-in-law Terry and his grandson Chad. George is survived by his two daughters; Debby (Darrel) Braasch, Brooklyn Park, MN and Becky (Terry) Rehder, Audubon, MN; four grandchildren: Chad (Jessica) Evenson, Minneapolis, MN; Jamie Evenson, Fargo, ND; James (Tricia) Braasch, Brooklyn Park, MN; Michael (Tina) Braasch, Lakeville, MN; five great-grandchildren: Connor Braasch, Kendall Braasch, Mason Braasch, Spencer Braasch, Axel Evenson and his unofficial adopted granddaughter, Valerie Heim. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his wife Laverne and his three brothers, Franklin E., Thomas B. Jr. and Robert W.
