Gary Lee Devine, 76, of Dent, MN, died on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Sanford Broadway Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Gary was born on July 26, 1946, in Breckenridge, MN, to Bob and Harriet Devine. He graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1964 and joined the United States Air Force soon after. Gary married Sonja Fink on February 11, 1965, in Breckenridge, MN. They had three sons, Perry, Brent, and Curt.

After the Air Force, Gary and Sonja moved to Fargo, where Gary worked for Welu Dental Lab as a lab technician for 40 years. He retired from Welu in 2008. Gary and Sonja made their home in Mission, TX, in the winters and enjoyed West McDonald Lake in Dent, MN, in the summer. Gary enjoyed playing softball, loved to fish, and going dancing with Sonja. He was a member of the Eagles for many years.

Gary is survived by his wife, Sonja, sons, Perry Devine of Rapid City, SD, Brent Devine of Fargo, ND, and Curt Devine of Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Courtney, Brianna, Madison, Taya, Christopher, and Cody; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Decklyn and Havyn; sister, Wanda Devine, Houston, TX; brothers, Dale (Cathy) Devine, Fargo, ND, and Mark (Marcia) Devine, Breckenridge, MN; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents, Bob and Harriet, and great-grandson, Jason Devine.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022, at 2 pm at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home in Fargo. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Breckenridge, MN.
