Gary S. Borgen

Gary Steward Borgen, 56, of Camarillo, CA, died on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at his home.

Gary was born November 23, 1960, in Fargo, ND, the son of Steward and Joanne (Bolstad) Borgen. He was raised in Fargo and graduated from Fargo South High School in 1978. He attended North Dakota State University, graduating with an Electrical Engineering degree in 1982. Upon graduating from NDSU, Gary had many job offers and chose to take a civil servant job with the Navy doing research and development, where he worked until his death.

Electronics was also Gary’s hobby. One could often find him at flea markets and thrift stores looking to reinvigorate old and broken laptops, watches, and other electronics. When he wasn't inside tinkering, he explored the temperate Southern California landscape. Gary loved to spend time with his son, Chris, and his daughter, Laura and was very proud of all of their accomplishments.

Gary is survived by his son, Chris, stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC; his daughter, Laura, Los Angeles, CA; brothers, Jay (Michelle), Glyndon, MN; Thomas (Kelly), Fargo, ND; and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Steve.
