After bravely fighting ovarian cancer for four years, Gail Louise Zimprich, 68, Fargo, ND, won her battle on Friday, March 15, 2024. She danced her way to heaven with her loving husband and three daughters by her side at Sanford Hospice House.

Daughter of Dean and Eloise (Lindstrom) Anderson, Gail was born July 29, 1955 in Fargo, ND. She grew up on Wall Street in rural Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1973. Shortly after graduation, the love of her life, Dale proposed and they were married September 22nd of that year. They began their life together in Fargo, then moved to rural North Dakota near Dale's family and soon after Gail's parents joined them.

Over the course of the next ten years they lived in Sharon ND and outside of Aneta, ND. During those years Gail worked at the Aneta Locker, Cooperstown grocery store, planted trees for the Griggs County Soil Conservation and worked with Dale on their dairy farm. In 1976 they welcomed their first daughter, Jessica and two years later they were blessed with another daughter, Michelle. After their youngest daughter Cassie was born in 1985, they made the move back to Fargo. Gail then began her 34 year career with the Fargo Public School District in multiple positions and buildings. She also had various side gigs, including painting houses, cleaning jobs, helping her husband Dale with construction projects and working on the family farm. She was the hardest working woman you have ever met and would do anything to support her family and friends.

Gail was known for her kind, thoughtful, positive personality and faith in God. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school for many years and touched many children's lives, helping them learn all about Jesus. After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and winning that battle, she took it upon herself to support anyone diagnosed with cancer who crossed her path. She knew God gave her this struggle to help others through theirs. She found great joy in doing things for others, always going the extra mile to comfort and ensure those around her felt loved. Gail's greatest pride was her family; spending time together, whether it was working on projects, playing games, taking family trips or being at the farm in the pool or having a cold beverage around the bonfire. They shared many laughs and wonderful memories were always made.

Throughout the years, Dale & Gail found great delight in dancing together and encouraged those around them to dance as well. Whether it was on the dance floor, in the kitchen, at the park, in the garage, by the bonfire, in the pool, or down in the basement listening to the jukebox, if there was music playing, Gail would grab Dale and say "Come on, let's dance!" Even at the very end, when a dear friend brought his violin up to the hospital to play for Gail, she found the strength to get up out of the chair and dance one last dance with her beloved husband. Gail is now dancing in heaven with Jesus.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents Dean & Eloise, her father & mother-in-law, Joe & Kate Zimprich, brothers-in-law, Kevin Zimprich & Richard Raker, sister-in-law, Michele Zimprich and niece, Cindy Shapiro.

She is survived by her husband of 50+ years, Dale, daughters Jessica (Mike) Geir, Michelle Zimprich, Cassie (Eric) Visser, five grandsons, David & Daniel Geir and Bennett, Elliott & Garrett Visser, her sister Carolyn Raker & brother Arlo Anderson, and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
