Frances Evelyn Jensen

Frances Jensen, 91, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Sanford Health Palliative Care in Fargo.

Frances Wee was born in February 1923 in Fargo to Bernard and Alma Wee. She graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1941 and attended Interstate Business College.

She worked at J.J. Newberry department store and at the ND Dept. of Supervised Study at NDSU.
In June 1948, Frances married Chester Jensen. They lived in Fargo and raised 2 sons. For many years she also assisted Chester in his insurance agency.

She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church for over 60 years and was active in many departments and the Mary Circle. She served as a volunteer in the local hospital system for over 20 years and had memberships in the VFW Auxiliary and Eastern Star since 1968.

Frances is survived by 2 sons, Richard (Mary Louise) and Jerry; a sister, Berniece; 2 brothers, Ray and James “Jimmy”. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Arnold, and sister, Helen.
