Florence Bjordahl, 83, of Fargo, ND, died under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley on Friday, November 7, 2008, at Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo. Florence Elaine Bjordahl was born June 9, 1925, in Arthur, North Dakota, daughter of Kristian and Selma (Ackerson) Bjordahl. She attended Fargo Central High School. She worked for Western Union in Fargo before becoming Deputy Clerk in the District Court of Fargo, from 1943 to 1967. After moving to Trollwood Manor, she volunteered at the Senior Center. Florence was known for her knitting and her homemade caramels. She enjoyed her many trips with her sister-in-law, going out for dinner on Saturdays, and brunches on Sundays, while trying all the new restaurants in the area. Auntie Flo was a wonderful aunt, great aunt, sister-in-law and sister. She will be greatly missed. Florence is survived by her two sisters, Pearl Braud, West St. Paul, MN; and Berniece (Archie) Alswager, Marshall, MN; sister-in-law, Joyce Bjordahl, Fargo, ND; nieces and nephews, Mary Jo (Clinton) Olmstead, Horace, ND; Michael Bjordahl, Minneapolis, MN; Todd (Linda) Bjordahl, Reiles Acres, ND; Carole (Gerald) Jensen, Blaine, MN; James (Kathy) Braud, Little Falls, MN; Sherry (Robert) Benson, Dallas, TX; Sandra (Verne) Schrunk, West Des Moines, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Lloyd Bjordahl; and her sister, Marie Clay. Funeral: Monday, November 10, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Hope Lutheran Church – North Campus, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Sunday, November 9, 2008 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Burial: Herby Lutheran Cemetery, Prosper, ND.
