Fern Lorraine Aplin

Fern L. Aplin, West Fargo, ND, died October 20, 2015 at the age of 87 years old. She passed away peacefully at Sanford Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Fern grew up around the Bowdon and Fessenden, ND area; later moving with her family to New Rockford, ND in 1944. She married in 1952 and moved to Fargo, ND in 1954. She worked for various restaurants and retailers until settling at Cass County Social Services in 1976 and retiring in 1992.

She is survived by her children: son, William C. Aplin III, Ft. Collins, CO; 4 daughters, June L. Glenn, Duluth, MN, Debbie (Doug) Thielbar, Fargo, ND, Barb Cleaver, Ft. Collins, CO, Teri (Juel) Salveson, Finland, MN; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Lyle (Sylvia) Oien. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, and a brother.

No services are planned at this time. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date when all her family and friends, who she dearly loved, can be together to remember her.
