Evelyn Mae Salsman

Evelyn Lee was born July 26, 1926 to Rudolf and Gudrid (Johnson) Lee in Cooperstown, ND. She married Richard Salsman in 1946, making their home in Fargo. She died on Saturday, October 17, 2020.
Evie worked at Alloway (Rau) as an office manager for 14 years. She was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, Eastern Star, and Civil Air Patrol. She enjoyed her summers at Cotton Lake, Rochert, MN and as a “snowbird” in Apache Junction, AZ, for many winters. Evie always made people feel welcome into her home and was an avid fan of Bison football and UND hockey.
She is survived by sons, Paul Salsman (Margaret Hinson), Cumming, GA, Craig (Dawn) Salsman, Fargo, and daughter, Kimm Salsman (Rick Larsen), Fargo. Grandsons, James Gronaas, Evan Salsman, both of Fargo, Ben Salsman, Raleigh, NC, and Andrew Salsman, Denver, CO, great-granddaughter, Brynnlei Gronaas, and many cousins and friends in the US and Norway. Her parents, husband, and sisters, Rose Nelson and Gladys Lee preceded her in death.
No service will be held at this time due to COVID-19. Her final resting place will be the Carrington, ND cemetery.
