Evelyn McCall, 95, died Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Bethany Homes, Fargo. Evelyn McCall, 95, of Fargo, ND, died Saturday, May 10, 2008, in Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND. Evelyn Harriet Smith was born March 30, 1913, in Ft. Worth, Texas, daughter of Joseph and Olivia (Prescott) Smith. She was educated and employed in Duluth and Minneapolis, MN. On March 3, 1945, Evelyn married John E. McCall. John and Evelyn moved to Fargo, ND, in 1952, where they worked at their business, Hardware, Inc., and raised their two daughters. They were members of First United Methodist Church where Evelyn taught Sunday school. She enjoyed gardening, playing pool, needlepoint, playing cards and making people laugh. In 1971, they moved to Mesa, AZ. John died on October 3, 1994. Evelyn moved to North Little Rock, AR, in 1995, and then returned to Fargo in June 2007. She is survived by her two daughters, Liz (Paul) Johnson, Fargo, ND; and Mary (Robert) Johnson, North Little Rock, AR; six grandchildren, Ryan (Meredith) Johnson, Joy Johnson, Christy (Mark) Jacobson, Matt (Courtney) Dale, Jennifer (Jon) Berry, Stephanie (Joe) Garza; and eight-great-grandchildren, Riley and Jacob Johnson, Isaac Jacobson, Katelyn, Harrison, Spencer, Andrew and Troy Dale; and seven nieces and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, John; her sister, Gwen; and her two brothers, Joe and Jerry. Memorial Service: Saturday, May 24, 2008, at 10:00 AM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home Chapel, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service.
