Evelyn Hanson, 91, passed away on Monday August 24, 2020 at Eventide Sheyenne Crossing in West Fargo.
Evelyn Edna Schlader was born on August 15, 1929 in Lisbon, ND to Anthony and Edna (Newling) Schlader. She graduated from Lisbon High School.
Evelyn married Allen Hanson on April 9, 1948 at her parents’ farm in rural Lisbon. She and Allen later moved to Enderlin, ND to live, work and raise their family. They had four children, 11 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. They were active members of their community and church.
She is survived by her children Steven (Linda) Hanson of Red Lodge, MT, Jesse (Lila) Hanson of Moundsville, WV, Leon (Joylynn) Hanson of Columbus, OH, Rebecca (Robert) Dalos of Pelican Rapids, MN; grandchildren Jenna (Chris) Pfaff, Karl (Elizabeth) Hanson, Sharese (Chris) Hanson, Jesse Hanson, Audrey Hanson, Dakota (Abigail) Hanson, Lyric Hanson, Christine (Roly) Carlson, Angela (Matt) Bartelson, Nathan (Breanne) Carlson, Saul Carlson; sister Beverly Adolf of Fairmount, ND, sisters-in-law Joyce Schlader, Lisbon, ND, Pat Hanson, St. Paul, MN, Jane Solhjem, Fargo, ND, Dorothy (Robert) Hoover, Detroit Lakes, MN, Joanne Carlblom, Moorhead, MN.
She was preceded in death by her husband Allen, brothers: Clarence, George, Clifford, Harold; sisters: Eleanor Dutton, Dorothy Suter; brothers-in-law: Gordon Hanson, Ed Brewer, Ernie Hoaby, Iver Solhjem, Dean Carlblom, Omar Dutton, Dave Suter, Ernie Adolf; sisters-in-law: Ilene Schlader, Gladys Brewer.
Her family has opted to hold a virtual graveside service in Lisbon, ND on September 12 at 3:30 p.m. EST for extended family and friends who wish to participate by Zoom; anyone who desires to be a participant should email Leon Hanson at ohiohanson@leonhanson.com and an invitation to join the meeting will be sent.
