Eva L. Bauer, 98, of Fargo, ND, died Thursday, January 25, 2007, at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Eva L. Petersen was born November 12, 1908, at Walum, North Dakota, daughter of Charles and Betty (Sundquist) Petersen. She graduated from Dazey High School and Valley City State Teachers’ College. She taught in North Dakota country schools for nine years. Eva married Tom Berge June 18, 1941, in Walum, ND. They farmed near Dazey until Tom’s retirement. She was active on Dazey and North Central school boards. She was an active member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Dazey. Eva also cooked at Dazey and North Central School for 15 years. Tom died November 27, 1973. Eva married Harry Bauer November 12, 1977, in Dazey, ND. They lived in West Fargo. Harry died April 8, 1980. Eva moved to Fargo, where she resided until the time of her death. She was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church. Eva is survived by her children, Agnes Berge, Minot, ND; Marilyn (David) Isaacson, Verona, ND; Thomas (Linda) Berge, Fargo, ND; Betty (Curt) McCabe, Park Rapids, MN; Margo (Larry) Lang, Pelican Rapids, MN; a sister, Grace Offner, Valley City, ND; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Tom Berge and Harry Bauer; three sisters, two brothers, two great-grandchildren. Funeral Service: Tuesday, January 30, 2007, at 10:30 AM, at Hope Lutheran Church – North Campus, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One half hour prior to the service at the church.
